1. Rolled CSST is under tension. For a clean cut, first cut the pipe 2 corrugations longer than required. With a second cut remove the extra corrugations.
2.Don't forget the union nut!
Place the Flange Clamp onto the pipe 2 corrugations behind the open pipe end as shown.
3.Exactly 2 corrugations are used to form the flange. Don't forget to put the nut on before forming the flange!
4. Slide the Flange Clamp into the Flange Tool as shown.
5. Use the sliding hammer to form a flat flange surface. (5-10 hits should be enough!)...
6. ...finished!
Ring inserts are not required and should not be fitted!
7. This is how your finished flange should look!
8. Be sure that the fitting used has an adequately wide & flat area to seal against.
9. As long as any curves in the pipe have a radius greater than 2 x pipe O.D. the CSST pipe can be bent from 0° to 180° in all directions.
Important!!!The finished flange has to be straight and flat!
Important!!!No ragged edges!
Important!!!2 corrugations only should be used to form the flange!
