Additional Notes

As long as the minimum bending radius (smallest bend radius = 2 x Pipe OD) is adhered to, the CSST Pipe may be bent from 0° to 180° in any direction. Connections and couplings should be kept to a minimum and should be easily accessable. A pipe clamp, with a plastic lining to prevent metal to metal contact (intergranular corrosion), should be fitted at approx. 0,5 m intervals. This ensures that contraction and expansion due to temperature changes will be absorbed automatically. The yellow LDPE protective coating is self-extinguishing to the requirements of the
Euro-Class E.

Uncoated CSST (EW, EWG) may also be used in gas installations, ie. when replacing appliances. We recommend using the yellow coated CSST (EG) in long runs, for example through a shaft or wall. Additionally uncoated CSST (EW, EWG) and the yellow coated CSST (EG) may also be installed under floor screed. Where uncoated CSST (EW, EWG) is installed under floor screed we recommend routing it through a protective pipe. All couplings must remain easily accessable.
